Four foreigners extorted CZK 1 million from Czechs. The fraudsters misused copies of the cards. Fake notification of undelivered parcel, then a fee for "delivery". Only it's not "copy of cards" but if you just give someone all the card details, they have everything they need to use it somewhere online. (iDnes)

The CEO of the failed crypto fund HyperVerse, which was introduced to investors in 2021, does not seem to exist. HyperVerse's consumer losses in 2022 were $1.3 billion. HyperVerse was touted at the launch event as a digital metaverse that will compete with Facebook. (The Guardian)

The European Central Bank plans to award contracts worth €1.3 billion to help develop the digital euro. Amazon has been selected in the past to help design a prototype CBDC. (DLNews)
